Nancee BrownASID NCIDQ
Nancee received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from The New York School of Interior Design in 1982 and is a Professional, NCIDQ accredited member of the American Society of Interior Designers. She has a background in fine arts, specializing in painting and drawing. It is this training of color, texture and proportion that is the foundation of her skills as an interior designer.
Currently serving as the President-Elect for the San Francisco chapter of ASID, Nancee is enjoying developing relationships with designers and vendors in the Bay Area.
Nancee started her career in New York in a variety of commercial and residential firms. Based in London for ten years, Nancee's experience expanded to include large department stores, fashion retail chain stores and high-end residential clients.
Focusing on residential design, Nancee set up on her own in 1990 while living in London. She continued to grow her business in New Jersey and New York having relocated back to the States in 1997. With her UK network, Nancee has continued to work with clients in England as well as on the island of Mustique.
Nancee relishes the challenge of new construction and major renovation projects. She feels it is critical to get the space planning right first and to build the design from there. Being able to create personalized interiors for all of her client’s wishes is a great source of joy for Nancee – she loves the physical aspect of being able to experience one’s work in three dimensions!
