Nancee received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from The New York School of Interior Design in 1982 and is an accredited member of the American Society of Interior Designers. She has a background in painting and drawing and it is this training of color, texture and proportion that is the foundation of her skills as an interior designer.
Nancee started her career in New York working for a variety of commercial and residential firms. This gave her a broad base of experience with projects ranging from financial offices in North Carolina to headquarters for clothing and cosmetic retailers in New York as well as model apartments for a well-known realtor and a beach resort in Florida.
After marrying an Englishman and relocating to London in 1987, Nancee's experience expanded to include large department store work, fashion retail chains and high-end residential clients.
In 1990 she started Nancee Brown Interiors focusing on residential work. Relocating back to the States in 1997, Nancee continued to grow her business within the New Jersey, New York area. With her UK network, Nancee has continued to work with clients in England as well as on the island of Mustique.
Nancee relishes the challenge of new construction and major renovation projects. She likes to 'get her hands dirty' with the basic bones of a space and feels it is so critical to get the flow of space right.
Nancee's passion for interior design is clear in the individual style of each project she undertakes.
